Stats
- Traditions: Arcane, Occult
- Cast: 2 actions, somatic, material
- Range: Touch
- Duration: Instantaneous
Effect
With a touch, the spell drives the latent potential of the object forward. **Critical Success.** The object ages twenty years, instantly becoming a fully functional version of its kind—metal hardens, wood dries, fermented fruit ripens, and any wear needed is completed. The lingering scent of wet stone and hot iron clings to it. **Success.** The object ages ten years, often reaching a usable state; if it was already partially useful, it becomes fully reliable. **Failure.** The accelerated aging backfires, leaving the object brittle and cracked, its surface marred by a faint irony of heat. **Critical Failure.** The object shatters or rots beyond repair, and a faint echo of the spell’s iron scent lingers in the air.
Heightened (+2)
When heightened to 7th level, the spell ages the target by an additional ten years on each success tier, and the maximum size of the object increases by one category (up to Huge). The lingering scent becomes more intense, reminiscent of a forge's afterglow.
