Chrono's Refiner

Stats

• Casting: A reverent ritual, chanting the forgotten verses of a millennia‑old guild.
• Range: Touch
• Duration: Instantaneous, though its influence lingers

Effect

When invoked upon a single object, the spell propels that item forward through the arcane currents of time until it attains its destined utility. A bronze dagger becomes a glinting blade of a legendary smith; a cracked stone becomes a polished gemstone. The rite rewrites the object’s internal chronometers, aligning them with a century’s worth of accumulated craftsmanship.

Escalation

If the caster extends the rite—raising the chant, adding a silver hourglass, or invoking the older measurements inscribed beneath the altar—the acceleration magnifies. Multiple objects may be refined simultaneously, or the target may be advanced far beyond ordinary use, producing a marvel or a ruin. Each additional level demands a further hour of devotion and a heavier toll upon the caster’s own time, risking temporal bleed.
