  • Traditions: Occult, Divine
  • Cast: 3 actions (verbal, somatic, material)
  • Range: 30 feet
  • Duration: 10 minutes

Effect

You select a creature whose memory you can reach, then perform a brief ritual to trade one of its memories for the strength it would have lent you. Make an Occultism check against the creature’s Will DC. Critical Success: You gain a temporary Strength bonus equal to the creature’s Strength modifier +2, and every door within 30 feet swings outward open as if a gentle wind had nudged it. The bonus and door effect last for the spell’s full duration. Success: You gain a Strength bonus equal to the creature’s Strength modifier, and doors within 30 feet swing outward open for the spell’s duration. Failure: The ritual backfires; you lose the traded memory and suffer a –1 penalty to Strength for the duration. No doors are affected. Critical Failure: The memory is taken from you instead; you suffer a –2 penalty to Strength for the duration, and all doors within 30 feet slam shut and become locked until the spell ends.

Heightened (+2)

When you heighten this spell to 6th rank, the Strength bonus increases by +2 (to +2 or +4 on success, +4 or +6 on critical success), the door effect expands to a 60‑foot radius, and the doors remain open for 1 hour after the spell ends. Each additional +2 rank further expands the radius by 30 feet and adds +2 to the Strength bonus.
