Description
Veth'kora is a storm-born monstrosity that haunts the old timberlands. It manifests as a swirling vortex of cut timber, resin-soaked sawdust, and shimmering mist. The creature does not merely weather the landscape—it shapes it, carving narrow paths through the forest floor where the air grows thick and the ground trembles.
Attacks & Special Powers
Veth'kora strikes with a gale-lash that hurls debris at speed. Its primary attack deals 2d6+2 damage and creates a trail of disturbed dust along its path. The special power, Memory's Reckoning, allows it to recognize a single human name whispered into the wind. When such a name is spoken, the storm freezes instantly, halting movement until the victim confesses what the storm has taken—this confession costs sanity, and the dust settles into a single narrow corridor behind the stunned prey.
Behavior
Veth'kora ambushes travelers who wander too close to its territory. It uses the environment as a weapon, directing falling branches and concentrated gusts toward unsuspecting victims. The narrow path of disturbed dust is its hunting ground—a corridor where the storm lingers after each failed confrontation, waiting for the next soul to speak its secret.
