Backstory
Zyrric was hired by the Order of the Eternal Veil to collect debts owed to the dead—ancient rites unpaid by families who dared disturb the sanctified ground. He knows the temple's hidden crypts pulse with a faint, otherworldly hum, a secret he keeps buried beneath layers of superstition, fearing that any mention would drive a sane mind to madness.
Hook
The investigators hear rumors of a debt‑collector who wanders the construction site of a new mausoleum, his ledgers whispering of a living owner who never truly died. The birds' refusal to fly over the temple hints at a lingering presence; if the characters seek the truth behind the temple’s curse, Zyrric may be their reluctant guide—or their unwitting accomplice.
