Appearance
He wears a threadbare waistcoat, his hands perpetually stained with blackened iron filings, and a pair of spectacles that always seem to be fogged from a recent rain of salt air.
Backstory
A once-energetic locksmith in the bustling streets of New York, he made a solemn vow to never open any lock again after a cursed key slipped from his fingers and turned the town’s clock into a black spiral. Now, he hears the city’s whisper: names are demanding, each a key to the unseen. He knows only that the water in the alley’s fountain refuses to reflect the moon, a silent omen of the coming.
Hook
When the townsfolk notice the fountain’s reflection failing, a frantic mayor seeks the locksmith’s help, unaware that the names he is asked for are the very ones that can lock him into madness. The players must decide whether to let him keep his oath or help him break free of the cryptic lock that is his own conscience.
