Effect

Anyone who survives the encounter suddenly finds themselves in a different room, with only the single candle providing light, which never burns out.

Escalation

If you push the hex harder—swing your wand like a circus acrobat—the candle’s flame grows brighter and the alternate room expands into a ballroom of spinning mirrors, each reflecting a different mischief you might wish to play.
