Description

As an action, you can deploy this net into any body of water. When cast, the net reaches out and attempts to snare anything that has never known water—creatures from other planes, lost artifacts, even forgotten memories. You roll a skill check against a DC of 10. On a success, the target is captured and remains bound to the net until released. However, the net is notoriously fickle: many who have tried to use it report that the creature it catches often resists release, muttering about its former life before the water. Additionally, the price of this net was once paid by a desperate collector who vanished after claiming the net would 'catch what shouldn't be caught.'

Lore

Legend says the net was woven by a baker who accidentally mixed moonlight into his dough. Now it sits in attics and taverns, waiting for someone foolish enough—or clever enough—to wield it. Those who own it swear they've seen strange things slip through its mesh: a teapot that floated upward, a shadow that refused to drown, a child's laughter echoing from depths where none should exist.
