Description

This gold band is etched with twin vines that seem to pulse with a faint, inner light. While worn, the ring grants a +2 item bonus to Charisma checks, saves, and skill checks. **Bond of the Vow** (1 action, Command Word): You may target a willing creature you have never met within 30 feet. The target must speak the ancient vow inscribed on the inner side of the ring. If the target is unwilling, it can attempt a Will save DC 35 to refuse. If the bond succeeds, for the next 10 minutes both you and the target gain a +2 status bonus to attack rolls, saving throws, and skill checks. Additionally, each of you can, as a reaction when the other would take damage, absorb that damage instead, up to a total of 50 damage per day per wearer. The bond ends early if either creature dies or the duration expires. **Resurrection Promise** (3 actions, once per month): While the bond is active and the bonded creature dies, you may spend three actions to cast *true resurrection* (8th‑level) on that creature, using the ring’s stored promise. This use resets at the next dawn. The ring has no other charges and is not consumed by its effects.

Their families recorded the marriage and its tragic resolution forty years later, yet the inner band bears a second set of measurements—older, finer, and written in a hand that pre‑dated the known records. Legends say the ring carries a fragment of the lovers’ promise, allowing any who wear it to forge a bond across time and even to cheat death itself, as long as the vow is spoken with true intent. Some say the older engravings are a warning: the promise is powerful, but it demands sacrifice.

Craft Requirements

Craft (magical) 12 days, DC 38; 4,200 gp of raw materials; must be crafted by a master jeweler who has studied the original twin vows, and the creator must have witnessed a genuine vow of love.
