Khan Turganbek
Human Midwife · Level 6
A epic NPC for D&D 5e.
I carry the breath of stone and iron.
Stats
- Role: Midwife of the Ironborn
- Bond: I will keep the secret of the stone-iron child and ensure its safe birth.
- Flaw: My hands shake in the presence of iron's scent.
Appearance
The midwife's robes are woven from stone-dust silk, shimmering with faint iron dust. She carries a silver birthing tray carved with runes that glow faintly when the child approaches. A perpetual scent of wet stone and scorched iron clings to her skin, a reminder of the miracle she tends.
Secret
She knows that the child is a living iron-stone golem, a creation of the forgotten forge of the mountain spirits, and that its awakening will alter the balance of the realm. She has seen its eyes glint like molten metal, and she fears the world will use it as a weapon.
Hook
When the village elders seek her aid for a child’s birth, she must decide whether to deliver the iron-stone child to protect her people or to conceal its existence, risking her life.
